From the mind of Purusha arose the month, from the eye - the sun, fire was born from his mouth, and from his breath - the wind. The air came from his navel, the sky came from his head, and the countries of the world were created from his ears, and his feet became the earth. Thus, from a great sacrifice, the eternal gods created the world.
