Two women in the village were baking a pie, and when it was almost ready, they argued who would get it. Each of them wanted to get the whole pie and did not want to share with a friend.
The first one said:
- My pie!
- No, darling! – the second one got angry. - I baked it too, the cake is due to me!
And before they had time to realize what was happening, the pie suddenly grew legs, it jumped out of the frying pan and ran along the road.
The pie ran and ran and ran straight into the fox.
- Hey, pie, where are you running, where are you in a hurry? – the fox licked its lips.
“I ran away from two stupid old women!” - the pie answers. - And I’ll even run away from you! – and started running further along the path.
A hare met him and his eyes widened in surprise:
- Pie, pie, where are you running?
Pie answers:
“I ran away from two brainless old women, I ran away from a fox, and I’ll run away from you, you won’t catch up!”
So the pie ran to the river. And on the river there is a boat with people sitting in it. And people shout to the pie:
- Pie, pie, where are you running?
“I ran away from two old women, from a sly fox, from a fleet-footed hare, I’ll certainly run away from you!” – the pie answered and ran on.
And towards him was a fat pig. And he also asks:
-Where are you running, pie?
“Oh,” the out-of-breath pie answers. “I ran away from two old women, from a sly fox, from a quick-footed hare, from people in a boat, and I’ll run away from you, fat one!”
And the pig answers him:
- What? For some reason, my pie, I began to hear poorly. Tell me this right in my ear!
The little pie ran up to say everything in the pig’s ear, and then - khryaps, khryaps! – she gobbled it up for her sweet soul. And here the fairy tale ends!
