Rich dowry

Metelitsa-Borea wanted to get married. She flew to Sirocco - the south wind - and said: “Don Sirocco, would you like to marry me?”

But Sirocco didn’t even think about marriage. He loved a free life. Now he flies to Africa, now he flies over the sea - what does he need a wife for? So he replied: “Eh, Donna Borea, when two poor people get married, they don’t get richer.” I have nothing, and you are not rich in dowry.

- How is she not rich! – Borea was offended. “The richest king does not have as much gold as I have silver.”

And then Borea began to blow with all her might, so that she took her breath away. Well, everyone knows what happens when the Blizzard-Borea blows. She blew for three days and three nights. Covered the hills and valleys with snow, dusted the roofs of houses and trees. Snowflakes sparkle in the sun, frost sparkles like pure silver.

- Well, Don Sirocco, is my dowry poor? Don't I have enough silver?

Sirocco did not answer, he just grinned and also began to blow. It only blew for one day and one night. And he melted all the snow to the last snowflake... And then he asks:

- So, Donna Borea, will you marry me?

- What you! What you! I need a thrifty husband. And you squandered my entire dowry in one day. I won't marry you.

Since then, Borea only scatters his silver when Sirocco is running somewhere far away.
