The great prophet Moses was on his way to the Lord to ask him how to continue his work when he met a beggar who asked:
-Where are you going, Moses?
- I'm going to meet God.
- When you see him, please tell him that I am poor and don’t know how to improve my life.
Moses promised to convey.
Soon he saw a very rich man who asked:
-Where are you going, Moses?
- I'm going to the Lord.
- When you see him, ask him what should I do? I am a wealthy person and yet the Lord continues to shower me with gold.
Moses undertook to convey this request as well.
Soon he saw the Lord and said:
- God! I came to you to ask how I can continue my business, and also, I need advice for two people I met along the way.
The Lord answered him:
- Oh, Moses! You ask me how you can continue your work, but the case of these people shows that you have not done what you could have done - give to the poor the excess of the rich man. How can I entrust you with more if you don't do what you should have already done?
