One night, Nasreddin and his wife got out of bed to look at two men fighting outside the window. The wife sent the mullah to find out what was going on. He threw the blanket over his shoulders and went downstairs.
As he approached these people, one of them tore off his only blanket, after which both ran away.
When Nasreddin returned to his place, his wife asked him:
-What were they fighting about?
“Obviously because of my blanket, because they left as soon as they grabbed it.”
