One day, the Rabbit left his hole to go eat. Unfortunately, the downpour that started caught him in the middle of the lawn, far from his home. And he really wanted to hide in someone else’s hole so as not to get wet.
But, being very cautious, he decided to first ask who lived there. So it turned out that this was the home of... Snakes.
The evil Snake very insinuatingly began to lure the rabbit to itself in order to then eat it.
...But the Rabbit immediately guessed everything and trembled with fear. And so he politely answered her:
“Don’t worry, I’ll stand here, because the storm seems to have almost passed.”
“No matter how wet you get, my friend, you better hide from the rain,” came from the hole.
- Good mink, please answer me, can minks speak?
“No, minks can’t speak,” the Snake hastened to answer without thinking.
“Well, thank you, then I’ll go,” the Rabbit quickly said goodbye and ran away.
“We should have let him come in and eat it.” How stupid I am! — the Snake was upset and very angry that the prey had escaped.
And the Rabbit still runs around the lawns and eats grass.
