One Jew dreamed three times in a row that his happiness was waiting for him on the bridge. And so he, hoping to find a treasure, went to the bridge, but found nothing there, although he walked along the bridge more than once, looking for the treasure.
The bridge watchman asked why you were walking back and forth on the bridge. Then our Jew told him about his dream.
The watchman laughs at him:
- Phew... Dreams are an empty thing. Today I took a nap in the booth and dreamed that I found treasure in your stove.
The Jew heard the watchman’s words, ran home, ordered his wife to bring an ax and began to break the stove, and the wife lamented: has it ever been seen that a working stove should be broken because of a foolish dream?
The Jew was dismantling the oven brick by brick, and suddenly the ax came across metal. With trembling hands, the Jew pulled out from under the rubble a cast iron pot filled to the brim with gold coins.
