There lived two brothers.
The elder was rich and the younger was poor.
One day, the prophet, disguised as a simple man, came on a mule to his elder brother, but no one met him there or helped him dismount. After this, the offended prophet turned to his younger brother.
At that time, the younger brother’s wife was at home: she was holding her dead child in her arms.
When the guest entered the yard, she put the dead child in the manger, met the guest, helped him dismount, invited him home, immediately prepared him a treat and sat him down at the table.
But would a prophet eat anything? He took his pipe out of his pocket, put it in his mouth and began to blow into its opening, “fut-fut,” but it was clogged.
“Would you please bring me a straw to clean my pipe?” the prophet asked.
And when the woman approached the manger to pull a straw out of the hay, she saw her child playing and smiling.
Joyfully, she ran up to the old man and gave him a straw.
The Prophet took a straw, cleaned the hole in his pipe, lit a cigarette, and then said to her:
- Thank you for everything. But tell me, what would you like? I can make you rich. She answered him:
“I don’t need any wealth, I just want to always be human.”
From that time on, the older brother began to become poorer, and the younger brother began to grow richer.
