He went to her father Dyyu to appease the old man with gifts and win the hand of his daughter.
But while Perun was with Dyya, Diva was noticed by the Black Sea Serpent - the Pallet Tsar. And I must say that Diva also charmed him. The Black Sea Serpent got into his golden chariot harnessed by eight black horses and went to woo, but the Diva rejected him.
“I would be glad to walk on the sea, but I’m walking in the sky, playing with thunder in the rattling clouds!”
Chernomorets was offended and approached the Irian Garden with darkness. Turned into a Three-Headed Serpent. Sparks rained down from one mouth, an icy wind came from the other, and the third proudly shouted:
- Give Diva-Dodola for me!
But there was justice for him. Dyi and Perun arrived. Turning into Eagles, they began to throw lightning at the Black Sea Serpent.
All Svarozhichi and the entire heavenly army gathered. Seeing this, the Black Sea Serpent immediately calmed down. He went home, diving deep to the very bottom of the Black Sea.
The wedding has begun. And then a new misfortune happened. Seeing how beautiful the Diva was, the son of Rod Veles himself fell in love with her head over heels, or rather to the very tips of his horns. And he began to persuade Diva to run away from the wedding with him. But Diva was adamant.
- Don't anger Rod! - she said proudly. However, later she still failed to escape the love spells of Veles.
And now thunderstorms thunder and lightning flashes - it is the Thunderer and the Diva-Perunitsa who are chasing the Black Sea Serpent and Veles across the sky.
And then, after the first strikes of thunder, rain began to pour on the thirsty earth, and in the flashes of lightning the wedding of Perun and Diva began. And the Diva began to sing:
