Perun and Diva-Dodola had a daughter, Devan. With pride and beauty, Devan took after Mother Diva, and with power, after Father Perun.
She learned various wisdom: to turn into a forest animal, to swim in rivers and seas as a fish, and to fly in the skies as the formidable Magur bird. And Devana became a great hunter, for she knew how to bewitch animals, birds and fish.
Devan was once riding in a clean pole. With one hand she threw a spear into the sky, and with the other a mace, and then picked them up hundreds of miles from the place where she threw them.
Two large, terrible wolves were running ahead of her, a falcon was sitting on her right shoulder, and a white gyrfalcon was sitting on her left. Veles followed Devana. He shouted after Devano like an animal and whistled like a nightingale. But Devanushka did not respond to Veles’ call.
- That Devanushka will be no match for me! — Veles was horrified.
I was driving towards Devana Dazhbog. He rode up to her with a white face, got off his horse, bowed and politely asked:
“Where are you going, Devanushka?”
- I’m still going to bright Iriy! I want to eat Iria apples and sit on the throne of Svarog!
Dazhbog jumped on his horse and rode to Svarga.
And he came to the Iriysky Garden and said to Perun - so and so, your daughter has become naughty, Dyeva’s blood is playing in her.
Perunovo's heart broke out. He went to meet his daughter. He roared like an animal - and the wolves that ran in front of Devana scattered. He whistled like a nightingale, and the falcon and gyrfalcon flew away. At first, Perun wanted to reason with his daughter with words. But Devana did not listen to the priest.
And then Perun and Devan came together in an open field. They fought with spears and clubs, cut themselves with swords. But their spears, swords, and clubs broke. Devan turned into a Lioness, and Perun turned into a Leo. And Leo overcame the powerful Lioness. Then Devan turned into the Magur bird, and Perun - into the Eagle. And again the Eagle fought the Magur bird. Then Devana turned into Whitefish. Perun called upon the goddess of fate Makosh for help, and she, together with Dolya and Nedolya, tied a frequent net. And Perun caught Devan with this net.
Here Devan submitted to fate and bowed to Perun.

The initial myths about the fight of the Thunderer with Snakes and monsters have been preserved by many peoples. I will only mention the Greek myth of Zeus and Typhon, retold by Apollodorus of Athens. I note that Typhon, like the Skipper, imprisons the Thunderer in a cave, then Hermes and other gods free him, and only after that Zeus defeats Typhon. And all this happens in Lycia, that is, in those lands where the Cimmerians and Scythians, the ancestors of the Slavs, then lived. From them this myth came to the Greeks. In India, Prajanya (aka Perun) merged with Indra.
