Once upon a time there lived a master and a lady. The master went blind, and the lady went on a spree with one of the clerks. The master became suspicious and did not allow her to take a step without him. Once she and her husband went to the garden, and the clerk came there too. The blind husband was sitting by the apple tree, and the wife was sinning with the clerk. And their neighbor looked from his house, from the window into the garden, saw what was being built there and said to his wife:
“Look, darling, what’s going on at the apple tree.” Well, now how will God open the eyes of the blind so that he can see - what will happen then? After all, he will kill her to death.
- And, darling! God gives our sister a trick too!
- What kind of subterfuge is there?
- Then you will find out.
It was to that sin that God opened the eyes of the blind master: he saw what was happening and shouted:
- Oh you!? What are you doing, damn it!?
And the lady shouted:
- Oh, how glad I am, my dear! After all, last night I dreamed: commit a sin with such and such a clerk, and the Lord will open your husband’s eyes for it. This is the truth: for my labors God gave you eyes.
