Once upon a time there lived Nut, Pestle, Awl and Shovel. They decided to have a feast one day. Pestle, Shilo and Shovel conspired to send Nut to drive the bull. Just not far from them lived an evil and soulless rich man. The nut rolled towards him and hid by the fence.
At noon the plowman unharnessed the oxen and gave them hay. Meanwhile, the rich man lay down in the shade under a tree and fell asleep.
Nutty rolled up to the bulls, but could not decide which of the two to choose, and shouted to his friends:
-Which one should I bring you, the horned one or the polly one?
- Get the horned one! - Oreshka’s friends shouted in response. The rich man heard voices in his sleep, woke up and thought: “Who
This one wants to steal my bull, and even chooses which one?” And he went to check if his bulls were intact.
The nut immediately jumped into the bull's ear.
The rich man looked around, but did not notice anyone.
-Who was that screaming? – he was surprised and left with nothing. Nut rolled out of the bull's ear and drove him to his friends.
The friends were delighted, they knocked down the bull, slaughtered it and skinned it, and then they sent Nut to get the cauldron.
Oreshek rolled to the place where the rich man’s cauldrons stood and again shouted to his friends:
– Should I bring a big cauldron or a small one?
The owner, hearing this cry, was surprised and ran to the place where the boilers stood. The nut hid.
Not finding anyone, the owner was surprised, threw up his hands and left.
Nut took the largest cauldron and dragged it to his comrades.
The friends lit a fire, put the meat in a cauldron, hung it over the fire, fanned the fire, and the meat quickly cooked. Then they took the cauldron off the fire, took out the meat and ate it. Having eaten their fill, Nut, Pestle, Awl and Shovel were chatting merrily, when suddenly they saw the approaching rich man, who was following in the tracks of the bull.
- Oh, we're lost now! The owner is coming! - the friends exclaimed and hung the cauldron with the broth on the hook.
The Nut hid right there in the ashes, the Pestle climbed into the attic, the Awl stuck under the seat of the bench, and the Shovel stood behind the door.
The rich man followed the trail straight to their house.
“This is where my bull was probably slaughtered.” Here is my cauldron hanging! - he said and bent over the cauldron.
Then Nut threw a handful of hot ash at him.
- Wow, I got burned! - the owner cried and, in the hope of finding the skin from his bull, wanted to go up to the attic, but the Pestle fell from the attic right on his head.
- Oh, my head, my head is broken! – the rich man gasped and sat down on the bench, but at the same moment the Awl pierced him.
- I pricked myself! - the rich man shouted and jumped up.
Then it was Spatula's turn. She hit him flat and threw him into the yard.
This is the joke Nut, Pestle, Awl and Shovel played on the stingy rich man.
No wonder people say: there is a grain of truth in every joke.
