Not far from Buddhahood

Not far from Buddhahood
Enlight

One day a university student who visited Hasan asked him:

—Have you ever read the Christian Bible?

“No, read to me from it,” Hasan answered.

The student opened the Bible and began to read from Matthew:

-...And why do you care about clothes? Look at the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you that Solomon in all his glory did not dress like any of them... So, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own...

Hasan said:

“Whoever said these words, I consider him enlightened.”

The student continued to read:

-...Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you; For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Hasan noted:

- Excellent. The one who said this is not far from Buddhahood.
