One mother had three sons. These three brothers lived richly and had many deer. The elder brother was always angry.

One day, early in the morning, the elder brother got up and said to his brothers in an angry voice:

- Hey, brothers, it's time to get up! Why do you sleep for so long? Collect deer. His brothers are sleeping. The mother stood up and said:

-My sons! I feel bad! I'm sick! If you leave, I will die without you.

The elder brother listened to his mother's words. After listening, he became terribly angry. Being so angry with everyone, he did not say a single word. He got angry and angry and fell asleep. So he slept for five whole days. On the fifth day that elder brother stood up and said again:

- Hey, brothers, it's time to get up! Collect deer! His brothers are sleeping. The mother stood up and said:

- My sons! I'm afraid! I feel bad, I’m sick! Don't leave. If you leave, I will die.

The elder brother listened to his mother's request. After listening, I was very offended. He didn’t even say a word to his mother and went to bed. That older brother has now slept for a whole year. Having slept, he turned to his younger brothers:

- Well, now let's go together. Collect deer! The mother addresses the brothers:

- My sons! When you leave me, I will die. I ask you to make me a wooden coffin and paint the coffin lid with red paint.

The sons listened to their mother’s request and headed towards the deer. For ten days they looked for deer, but could not even see one. Only on the fifteenth day, at the edge of the forest, the elder brother saw one deer. The elder brother took the broad-tipped arrows, then took the bow and went to the deer. Then the elder brother said the following words to the younger ones:

- I'll go. You wait for me!

The older brother left, the younger ones began to look in his direction. When he approached the herd, he took an arrow with a wide tip and threw it at the deer. The arrow pierced the largest deer. An arrow hit the side of a riding deer. So he killed the largest riding deer.

Suddenly that deer shouted to his older brother:

- Why did you kill me in vain! After all, from now on there will be grief in your life. It will be hard for you, you will suffer. You will wrap grass around your neck, and you will make a waist belt for yourself.

So said that riding deer and flew into the sky. Taking off, he said again:

“I won’t see you again, I’ll only see my younger brother.” The brothers were surprised, and the elder brother said:

- Oh, marvelous! What a deer this is!

The brothers began to look for deer again and saw their chum here. They realized that the mother's words were correct; she was no longer alive. The younger brother is crying, and the elders are laughing. Younger brother says:

- Well, let's make a coffin! Paint the bottom with black paint and the top with red.

The younger brother did everything. He did everything as their mother asked.

The younger brother dug a grave and laid his mother's head towards the sun. After this, the brothers lived together for another three years. The elder brother became completely poor. There is no industry. They can't kill anything - they're starving.

The younger brother began to think: “Why is there no more fishing? How to continue to live?” So he thought and turned to his angry older brother:

- Brother, tie the nets! We'll get fish. The elder brother answers:

- OK! Let's connect!

They tied the nets and swept them, but there was not a single fish. But there are a lot of worms. The older brother began to eat worms, but the younger brother did not. He's starving. He was hungry and hungry and said:

- Here, together with my brothers, I will disappear. We need to go somewhere else.

So he did as he thought. He walked for three days, but found nothing. Off again. I walked again for three days and found nothing. Once again I passed three days and still returned empty. So one day he fell on the tenth day and died. When he fell, he began to say:

- Arctic foxes, foxes, wolves, eat me!

Arctic foxes, foxes and wolves came running and began to eat his body.

The younger brother speaks again:

- Eagle, eagle!

I forgot you;

Come to me!

Peck my body!

That eagle flew in and pecked once at the body of his younger brother. Then the younger brother says:

- Eh, eagle! It hurts me! Take me away! Eagle answers:

-Where will I take you?

- Take me to heaven! I beg you! For this I will repay you with kindness! The eagle answers him:

- How can I carry you away? After all, your body was eaten

“Please take it away!” he asks again. Then the eagle says:

- Well, alykoun, kolkoun! (Bless you!)

Then the younger brother recovered. An eagle carried him to heaven. The eagle flew and flew and found one hole in the sky. He was the only one who knew this hole. An eagle flew up to this hole and said to his younger brother:

- Go to the sunny side! There you will find a big river. Swim to the other side of that river. On the other side you will find a silver chum.

The younger brother listened to this and went to the sunny side. He walked and walked and on the third day he found a river. He swam across this large river and found a silver chum on the other bank. There is one old man sitting in that tent. There is an illness behind the old man. The younger brother saw this illness and said to the old man:

- Who is sick with you, old man?

— My daughter is sick.

- What hurts her?

- It hurts inside. Benefits for my daughter. If you help, take it! I'll give my daughter to you! Younger brother says:

- Okay! I'll help! He began to look at the girl’s stomach. I looked and looked and noticed some kind of wound on her stomach. In this wound he saw an arrow with a wide tip. The younger brother pulled out this arrow. The younger brother is surprised, looking at the arrow. After all, he knew this arrow well, because it belonged to his older brother; once upon a time a riding deer was wounded with this arrow. Then the younger brother began to think: “Could this girl really be that very deer?”

The old man looked at the stranger and said:

- We will live together! You will be my son-in-law! Take my daughter as your wife!

The girl recovered. Her younger brother took her as his wife, and they lived together with the old man. The son-in-law became rich and had a lot of deer. This is how they live. The younger brother lived in heaven for three years.

One day he turns to the old man:

- Eh, old man! My brain is deteriorating - sad! Let me go!

The old man listened to his son-in-law and said:

- How did you get here? Which road? The younger brother answers:

“The eagle brought me here.”

“Well then,” says the old man, “go back to your land.” If it's bad for you, I'll find out anyway. I'll help you. Do not forget me!

Then the son-in-law went to his native land - to the middle world. He walked for three years. In the fourth year I found the coffins of my brothers. Those coffins have all rotted already. The younger brother stopped here and began setting up tents. Here they lived with their wife, the daughter of an old man. When they lived here, the younger brother's wife began to notice that she became pregnant. Then she says to her husband:

- Go to the sunny side. There is a silver forest and silver grass growing there on the lake; make me a tohoho (staff) from that tree. Bring me tohoho and silver grass.

Her husband listened to this and headed to the sunny side. I found a lake there, on the lake there was a silver forest and silver grass. He cut down a tall tree and made tohoho.

When he came home, his wife asked:

-Did you bring tohoho?

- Yes, I brought everything that you punished me.

A short time later his wife gave birth to a son. This son did not have a name until he was five years old. Mother says:

- Why is our son growing up without a name? We need to give him a name.

“What should we call him?” asks the husband.

Wife says:

- Let's call him Nirkhushka-Emerchen!

- Fine! - said the husband.

And so their son Nirkhushka-Emerkhen became.

Fifteen years have passed. Nirkhushka-Emerchen has already become a strong, healthy guy and one day says:

- My brain is deteriorating - it’s sad to be alone. I want to get married!

His parents listened and thought. They thought so for three days.

Then the mother began to say:

- There is no good girl here. We don't know any girls on earth.

There is only one bride for you - the sun's daughter. But that daughter of the sun is very far away. Go that way and take the sun’s daughter as your wife.

Nirkhushka-Emerchen listened to his mother and said:

“You are sending me to the daughter of the sun.” But how can I get there? Give me a nine-legged horse.

Here the father began to speak to his son:

“There is no nine-legged horse on this earth, nowhere to be found.”

Make yourself an amulet. When you make an amulet from pure silver, sit on it and say: “O my good spirit, give me a nine-legged horse.”

Nirkhushka-Emerkhen listened to all this and then made himself an amulet from silver and sat on it for three days. Then he turned to the good spirit - Mayin - with these words:

- Eh, Mayin! Give me a nine-legged horse. I will go to the sun's daughter.

Only on the fourth day did a nine-legged horse appear. Nirkhushka-Emerchen looked at him and was amazed. Then he headed to the tent. He comes and his father asks him:

“Did Mayin give you a nine-legged horse?”

“Yes,” the son answers. - Mayin gave me a nine-legged horse. That horse is of extraordinary height. How can I ride it? How can I sit on it?

To this his father answers:

“Now, my son, you have strength.” Hit the horse in the head and he will kneel. Get in and go

“Okay,” says the son, “I’ll go now.” No one knows when I will return.

As the father said, so did Nirkhushka-Emerchen. He went to heaven on this horse. Suddenly the horse stopped. He's shaking all over, snoring, afraid. Dege-Baba (Baba Yaga) caught this horse by the neck. She caught it and said:

“I’m a kind, innocent girl, but you’re a good fellow, I won’t let you go.” Will you be my husband?

Nirkhushka-Emerchen looked at this sorceress, Dege-baba, and laughed. Then he pushed her hard, and Dege-baba fell.

- Ha-ha-ha! - Nirkhushka-Emerkhen's laughter echoed. Again he went towards the sun. Nobody knows how long or short his journey was. His horse stopped and said:

- Well, now you go yourself. You will reach the sun and you will see a dog here; This dog will be the daughter of the sun. Don't be afraid of her. Get an answer from her. Your road will split in two directions. One road will be connected with one spirit, the other with another. You take the second road.

The horse said so and disappeared.

Nirkhushka-Emerchen goes, goes, goes again. Nobody knows how long or short the walk was. Finally he saw the silver chum. The sun lives in this plague.

Nirkhushka-Emerkhen approached the tent and stopped. He looks around, but does not go to the tent. People heard his steps, heard and began to say in the plague:

- Who came?

One woman came out and looked around. I looked and returned to the tent again. People in the plague ask:

-Who's coming?

The woman answers:

- The man has come.

- What kind of person is this? - they asked her.

- I don’t know which one. I have never seen such people. From the waist down, this must be a man from the middle world, from the middle earth.

People listened warily to the woman and began to get angry with her:

“How come,” they say, “you don’t know this man?”

Why didn't you look into it properly?

Angry at that woman, people again sent her out of the tent to see the man who had come. She came out of the tent, saw a man and began to peer into his face. She looked and looked, then began to think: “What kind of person is this?”

The woman returned to the tent. Her people began to ask about the man who was behind the plague. But still the woman could not say anything. Then she says:

- This man was born in the middle earth. Three stars gave birth to him. Once upon a time, three people lived here with us. Those three people left. One of them returned back.

The old sun listened to the woman and exclaimed:

- My people! Open the doors! Let eighty people take that man by the arms! Let each of the twelve people lay two sables at his feet! Bring this man to me!

The doors opened. Eighty people immediately approached Nirkhushka-Emerkhen and took him by the arms. Each of the twelve people took two sables and laid these sables at the feet of Nirkhushka-Emerchen. They took him to the tent. Old Sun says:

- Come in, our good guest. Sit down! Nirkhushka-Emerchen sat down. The old sun speaks again:

- Treat our guest better. Everyone vying with each other began to feed and water the guest. Nirkhushka-Emerchen looks around and does not see the daughter of the sun - that girl is not there.

Then the guest saw the dog. It was a beautiful dog. Nirkhushka-Emerkhen stood up, bowed to the old man sun, bowed to the old woman sun and said:

- Give me this dog! The old man turned to his wife:

- What do you think, should we give him the dog? The old sun answers:

- After all, Nirkhushka-Emerchen is a real person. Nirkhushka-Emerkhen bowed to the old man and the old woman, then said:

- I'm leaving you. I'll be close. Don't do anything bad to me.

- Okay, go! - the old sun answered him. Nirkhushka-Emerchen went to another girl, went to the daughter of the month. He took that daughter of the month and returned back to the plague of the sun. Here he also took the daughter of the sun. So he headed to his native land, in his native direction.

Nirkhushka-Emerchen walked and walked; whether it was long or short, no one knows. At one place he stopped and said:

- We'll stop here. You wait a little. I'll go. And so he left. He walked and walked and met a sorceress. It was Dege Baba. That Dege woman had a son. This was the son of Nirkhushka-Emerkhen. Dege-baba rocks his son in the cradle and sings:

Where is your father?

Will he come back or not?

Nirkhushka-Emerkhen killed that Dege-baba, and took his son for himself. Then he returned to the place where he left his girls. The daughter of the month looked at the child and became angry. Abandoned this child. The daughter of the sun looked at the child and said:

- Nirkhushka-Emerkhen, give me your son, I will feed him.

He gave her the child, and they went to their native land. No one knows how long they walked.

On the way, the daughter of the sun told the daughter of the month that she, the daughter of the month, would feel bad. So they walked. Finally, Nirkhushka-Emerkhen reached his native land, but there were no deer trails, no human shelters there any longer.

Nirhushka-Emerchen said:

- Why are there no deer? Why are there no deer trails? Why is there no father's plague?

Once upon a time Nirhushka-Emerchen had a friend with whom they played together; That friend's name was Serkesekhe. Nirkhushka-Emerchen met this friend. Serkesekhe told Nirkhushka-Emerhen that his father and mother were killed by the shaman Kekildan. When Nirkhushka-Emerkhen found out about this, he began to cry and get angry.

But Serkesekhe did not know where the shaman Kekildan could now be. Nirkhushka-Emerkhen searched for the shaman Kekildan for ten days and finally found him on the eleventh day. When he met the shaman, he shouted:

- Oh, you devil! I'll break your jaws! Bug-eyed. So that you don't see life! Tell me where is my father? Where is my mother? Now give me my parents!

The sun's daughter said to her husband:

- You can’t do that! Don't touch him! Stop! Don't get angry and ruin your father's life!

Then the daughter of the sun said to the shaman Kekildan:

- Well, shaman! Make his father and mother alive. And Nirkhushka-Emerkhen ordered to start shamanizing quickly, the Shaman said to Nirkhushka-Emerkhen:

“I know that you rode to heaven on a nine-legged horse.” I know that you have taken for yourself the daughter of the sun and the daughter of the month. I know that. I know that you killed Dege Baba. Your father and your mother are dead. I can't revive them. No, I can’t!

Nirkhushka-Emerkhen became even more angry with the shaman Kekildan. He broke the rods of the waistcoat and began to tear at the shaman with them, saying:

Give me my father! Give me mother! You're a dog!

He hits the shaman with rods, and he cowers and says:

-Please don't kill! Let me go!

Nirkhushka-Emerkhen hits the shaman with rods and shouts:

- Give me father! Bring it on mother!

The shaman howls.

The daughter of the sun Nirkhushka-Emerkhena asks:

- Let go of the shaman, stop flogging him! I will resurrect your father, your mother will live, just let the shaman go.

Nirkhushka-Emerchen was surprised by the words of the daughter of the sun and did not believe her. Still, he asked her to revive her parents.

The daughter of the sun found out from the shaman Kekildan where the bones of Nirkhushka-Emerkhen's father and mother lay, and went to that place. The first time she walked near the dead people, they began to breathe. The second time it passed, the dead sat down. The third time it happened, the dead people completely came back to life and recovered.

Nirkhushka-Emerkhen was delighted and released the shaman Kekildan. When releasing the shaman, Nirkhushka-Emerkhen sternly threatened him to be smarter next time.

Dege Baba's son became a guy. He went to look for his mother. He went down to the bottom of the ocean and looked for his mother there for a long time. So he was gone. They say that taimen ate that guy.
