Never losing hope

Never losing hope

In a certain city, one adviser to the Sultan lost his place: the Sultan stopped trusting him and removed him from office, appointing another person as an adviser. When the new official came to the house assigned to the adviser, he found the former courtier there - he was sitting, as before, in his usual place, without taking out his belongings or vacating the house. The new adviser asked in amazement:

- Why are you still here and not going to leave? After all, you have lost your place.

“Yes, it’s true,” the former adviser sighed, “I lost my place... but not my hope!”
