My dog is also a Yorkshireman

A Yorkshire fellow came to Walpole for the first time. And he brought his dog with him. He had never been to such a big city before. He stopped at every shop window and looked around, because everything was new to him. And endlessly asked questions to passers-by:

- What is this?

- Oh, what is this?

At a large fish market, he asked the owner about every unfamiliar fish:

- What is this?

So he came to a barrel of live lobsters.

- Oh, what is this? — the curious Yorkshireman asked, pointing his finger at the barrel.

“Lobsters,” they answered him. - Do you want one? Hold it!

- No, no! I'm a Yorkshireman. Don't want.

“Then let your dog put his tail in the barrel.”

- Ah, that's okay.

And the young Yorkshireman lifted his dog over the barrel so that his tail was among the biting lobsters. One lobster - grab the dog by the tail! The dog escaped from the owner's hands and began to run howling.

The fishmongers held their sides laughing. And the Yorkshireman just opened his mouth and widened his eyes in surprise.

When the dog with the lobster on his tail disappeared around the corner, the lobster owner shouted:

- Hold him! Your dog stole my lobster! Call him back!

- Not! - said the Yorkshireman. “He’s a Yorkshireman too.” Call back your lobster!
