Mushfiqa's will

Mushfiqa's will
Enlight

Having become very ill, Mushfiqi gathered all his relatives and made the following will to them:

“When I die, be sure to bury me in some old grave and wrap me not in a shroud, but in the most torn rags!”

The relatives were amazed at such a strange will. And then Mushfiqi said:

“I will say to the angels interrogating the buried about their earthly sins: “Don’t you see that this grave is old and my shroud has decayed? I was interviewed a long time ago. You just have the wrong grave.” This way I will be freed from punishment for my sins.

Relatives did not dare to argue with the dangerously ill person. And Mushfiqi, thinking about the future afterlife, told them:

“And I also ask you: when you bury me, rest my head on the bottom of the grave, and my feet on its ceiling!”

Here the relatives, unable to contain their indignation, declared that this method of burial was unacceptable. But Mushfiqi answered them:

“After all, our mullahs say that when the end of the world occurs, the earth will turn over and everything will be upside down.” This means that I will then be in the right position, and I will be able to leave the grave without difficulty!
