Mother and children

Mother and children

It was a long time ago. Water flooded the ground. The eagle had to save the eaglets. But it was possible to save only one. The eagle took the first one she came across and flew away. And while flying, I decided to ask the eaglet: “When you grow up and I get old, will you take care of me?” Without thinking for a long time, the eaglet replied that yes, of course it would. The mother did not believe her son and unclenched her claws. Came back for another.

Came back for the last one. On the flight I asked the same question. To which the third replied: “My mother. I, of course, love you, but I will also have children. All the time that I will be free from my children, I promise, I will devote to you.” The eagle nodded her head, realizing that until the end of her days she would have to take care of herself. And she flew on, saving her truthful little eagle.
