Once upon a time there lived a grandfather and a woman. The grandfather had a rooster, and the woman had a chicken. Grandma's hen laid eggs, and grandpa's rooster - well, the rooster was like a rooster, it was of no use. Once the grandfather asks the woman for an egg, the woman does not want to give it. The grandfather got angry that there was no profit from the rooster, he beat him and drove him away.

A rooster walks along the road and looks at a wallet with money. He took the wallet in his beak and carried it. The gentleman is coming towards him. I saw a rooster:

“Jump off,” says the coachman, “and take the rooster’s wallet.”

The coachman followed the rooster, caught it, took the wallet and gave it to the master. Then he got into the chaise, hit the horses, and off we went. And the rooster runs after them and keeps crowing. The gentleman arrived home, drove into the yard, and the rooster was right there: running around the yard and shouting:

- Cluck-clack, cluck-clack, cluck-clack! - Catch this rooster and throw it into the well! - the master ordered the servants.

The servants grabbed the rooster and threw it into the well. The rooster drank a lot of water, jumped out of the well and crowed again.

- Light a fire in the oven and burn this rooster! - said the master.

The servants lit a fire in the oven and threw the rooster into the oven. He put his wallet with money on the window. And the rooster released water and doused all the fire. Then he jumped out of the oven - he jumped towards the window! He pecked at all the money, broke the glass and ran away. Comes to the grandfather's gate and:

- Ku-ka-ka-ku-u! Open the gates! Grandfather came out and opened the gate. And the rooster approached the door of the hut: “Open the doors!” Grandfather opened the door. “Spread out the canvas!”

Grandfather spread it out. And the rooster: drrr! money, all in gold. The grandfather rejoices that he has become a rich man.

Once a woman asks her grandfather for a chervonets, but the grandfather does not want to give it. The woman got angry, beat the chicken and sent her to look for money too. The chicken went to the weed pit, began to rake up the manure and found a piece of mother-of-pearl.

Comes to the woman's gate:

- Where, where, where, where! Open the gates! Baba came out and opened the gate. A chicken came to the door of the hut: - Open the doors! Baba opened it. “Spread out the canvas!”

Baba spread it out. And the chicken threw away only a piece of mother-of-pearl. The woman got angry and started beating and beating the chicken, beating and beating until she killed it.
