Lucky wolf

Lucky wolf

There lived a wolf in the forest. He woke up one morning, stretched and sneezed three times. “Not bad! So today I’ll be three times lucky,” thought the wolf.

Suddenly he sees two rams butting heads on a hill. "Here's your first piece of luck! And what a success!" - the wolf was happy. He crept up to the sheep and howled:

- What a mess! What kind of lawlessness?! Now I will punish you...

The sheep see that they have nowhere to run and say:

- Senor wolf, we know that we have done something wrong, and you will eat us for it. But please, please judge us first.

- What is it? - asks the wolf.

“My friend and I argued: I say that from here to here it’s all my master’s meadow, but he says no, this is already his master’s domain.” Can't you judge us?

The wolf agreed. Stare at the ground and let’s figure out whether the border is exactly drawn. And suddenly they will give him from behind! The wolf somersaulted and lost consciousness. Sheep are masters at butting heads!

The unfortunate wolf came to his senses, stood up groaning and moved on. “Well,” he thinks, “if the other two lucks are like this, I won’t live until the evening!”

What can you do? The wolf had not eaten for two days and was completely emaciated.

He walked and walked, and suddenly he saw: a clearing, and in the clearing an old skinny mare with a foal was grazing. “Here it is, luck!” the wolf rejoiced. “They won’t leave me: the horse is too old, and the foal is small and weak. But now I’ll be more careful. I’ll kill the mare first, otherwise she won’t kick me!” He approached the horse carefully and said:

- Wow, how hungry I am! Now I'll eat you! And the mare answers:

“Listen, I’m getting old, and my meat is tough.” It’s better to eat my foal, but first fulfill my request.

- What is it?

“Take the splinter out of my back leg, otherwise I’m limping.”

The wolf approached the mare from behind, just started looking for a splinter, the mare kicked him with all her might, and then she called the foal and rushed away.

The wolf sighed and trudged on. Walked, walked. I saw a cow. The cow had a rope dangling from her legs. “I was unlucky twice,” thought the wolf, “but now I’ll have lunch. If I grab the rope, the cow will fall.”

The wolf grabbed the rope, and as soon as the cow started to run, she dragged the wolf along the ground. Finally the rope broke, the wolf stood up all ragged and said to himself: “Oh, you idiot!” Who asked you to become a land surveyor and a veterinarian?! How could the rope not break? The owner of the cow would have killed me quickly! Good luck to you!
