And the gypsies also tell such a story. A gypsy woman was walking through the forest, going to the village about her gypsy business, with a child swinging behind her, a basket for provisions in her hands. She goes out into the clearing and sees: a swing is hanging between two birch trees, and on these swings are two small children - a boy and a girl. Children laugh, burst into tears, and pay no attention to anyone. What's happened? - the gypsy thinks. – Where did the children come from in the forest? Where did the swing come from? After all, it’s still a long way to the village.

The gypsy guessed that these were not ordinary children. What if these are disputants? - she thought. - Let me try to catch them!

The gypsy began to creep up to the swing, but no matter how hard she tried, she still stepped on a dry branch - and a crash was heard. And then the child woke up and began to cry behind his mother. The disputants were alarmed. When they saw the gypsy, they waved their arms and ran away. They reached the edge of the forest and disappeared, as if they had never existed. The gypsy runs up to the swing and sees: the hat is lying on the ground. The gypsy woman picked up the cap and put it in the basket. That day she collected so much food from the village that she could barely carry it. And since then, the gypsy has had good luck: whatever she sets her mind to, everything works out for her. It was this hat of debaters that brought her happiness.
