Lion, wolf and fox

Lion, wolf and fox

Once a lion, a wolf and a fox met.

“Let’s live together,” the lion suggested. “We’ll hunt together and share the prey together.”

“This is not good,” thought the fox, for she knew that friendship with the strong is dangerous for the weak. But the wolf persuaded her: he was very flattered by his friendship with the king of beasts!

There was a lot of game, and the animals began to live happily. Poto: hunting became more difficult, and they often returned from the forest half-starved.

Desperate, the animals raided the village and carried off a donkey, a goat and a lamb.

“Start dividing,” said the lion when they went far into the forest.

- O king, you are the strongest! “You will take the donkey, I will take the goat, and the fox, as the smallest, will get the lamb,” said the wolf and looked at the lion, expecting praise.

- For me, the king, only one donkey?! - the lion shouted and broke the wolf’s spine with a blow of his paw.

- Share the prey, fox! - he ordered.

- O king! You will have breakfast with a donkey, lunch with a goat, and for dinner you will have enough lamb.

- Well done! — the lion praised the fox. “But who taught you to divide the prey so fairly?”

“The corpse of this wolf,” answered the fox and disappeared.
