A horse walked across the meadow.
A lion is coming. - Follow me! - ordered the lion.
- Why should I go? - asks the horse.
- How dare you talk to me like that? - the lion shouted menacingly. “Don’t you know who I am?” I am a beast above beasts. I'm hungry and I want to eat you.
“Eh,” says the horse, “these are not the times when whoever bends someone will beat him.”
“Do you dare to think that I am weaker than you?”
“I’m sure of it,” says the horse.
- Let's measure our strength. There was a stone lying in the meadow.
“Come here,” says the horse. We approached the stone.
-Can you hit this stone so that sparks fall out of it?
When a lion scratches a stone with its paw, it breaks its claws.
- Eh, lion, lion! And you call yourself a beast above beasts. Watch me knock.
The horse had steel horseshoes on its feet. The horse hit the stone with its hoof and sparks flew up.
The lion got scared and rushed back into the forest. He runs and looks back.
-Where are you running, lion? - the wolf asks him.
The lion told the wolf what a terrible beast he had met.
“And you were afraid of him?” asks the wolf. “Eh, if I had caught him, I would have dealt with him quickly.” Just show it to me.
The lion took the wolf in his front paws and stood on his hind paws.
- Look!
It seemed to the lion that he was lightly holding the wolf, but its bones crunched and its spirit jumped out.
- Well, do you see? The wolf doesn't answer.
- Why are you silent?
The lion lowered the wolf to the ground, he saw that the wolf was not breathing.
- Oh, you braggart: as soon as I saw him, I was already stupefied. And I measured my strength with him!
The lion threw the wolf and ran on.
