Legend of the Sun, Venus and Moon
Enlight

There were three brothers. The eldest is Venus, the second is the Sun and another boy. They lived with their grandmother Shkitza. By hunting with blowguns, the brothers obtained game for their grandmother, but she gave all the food to her lover - the monster.

The boys killed the monster. The grandmother, having accidentally eaten part of her lover, tried to kill the brothers, but they ran away.

The two older brothers turned the third into a monkey because he did not join them in their intention to kill their grandmother. All monkeys came from him. According to one version, this monkey became the evening star. The Sun and Venus killed the grandmother after she could not answer their riddles.

Venus married, but his wife left and later laughed at his ugliness. He became the patron of animals.

The sun went to where Luna-Shtaktani, according to another version of Mataktin, lived with her grandfather. Luna spent a lot of time weaving. To gain her favor, the Sun deceived her by disguising himself as a great hunter. Later, he borrowed the skin of a hummingbird and flew to Luna's hut. He lost consciousness from a ball from his grandfather's blowgun and was brought to Luna's room. During the night, he came to his senses, regained human form and persuaded Luna to run away with him. Before that, they filled grandfather's blowgun with chili pepper and smeared his magic mirror with soot. Grandfather turned to Chuck for help, who threw lightning at the fugitives as they tried to escape in a canoe. The sun turned into a turtle, and the moon into a crab. The Sun managed to escape, but the Moon was killed. The dragonflies collected her meat and blood into 13 hollow logs. After 13 days, the Sun discovered these logs. Twelve of the logs contained various harmful insects and snakes; the thirteenth contained the Moon, which had returned to life.

Luna didn't have a vagina. The deer helped fix this by trampling on her. After this, the Sun and Moon became the first to copulate. They built a house. Venus came to live with them. After some time, the Sun suspected the Moon and Venus of treason. The Sun revealed the couple's deception. When Luna called for help on the river bank, the vultures convinced her to become the king's vulture's wife. The sun began to look for his lost wife. Borrowing the skin of a small deer, he hid under it. The blowflies showed the carcass to the vultures. When they came to feast on it, the Sun grabbed one of them. Riding on its back, he approached the home of the royal vulture. Using magic, the Sun caused the vulture to have a toothache. After healing the vulture, the Sun convinced the Moon to fly away with him. Then they ascended to heaven and took upon themselves the responsibilities of the sun and moon.

According to one version, the royal vulture decided to set fire to the hut in which they were hiding. The sun set fire to the bushes inside the hut, and under the cover of the flames, together with the moon, rose to the sky. The elder brother became the morning star, the younger brother the evening star.

The sun placed a mirror in the center of the sky. He traveled towards the zenith, and when he returned, the mirror showed him as if he was continuing his journey to the west.

The moon was so bright that people complained that they could not sleep. Then the Sun tore out one of her eyes.

Later, maize was discovered under the rock by observant ants who carried it from there. The rock was split by the thunder gods. Since then, people have had maize in various colors. The logging of the sacred tree provided the world with other fruits and plants.
