Tuyanchi-Autumn has eaten the grass and chews tree leaves.
Old, evil; the nose is a purely rotten twig, the face is last year's locust. He bares his fangs.
- I’ll devour everything!
The leaves are trembling, huddling - no one wants to die.
OK.
Kurgamysh the green god floats across the Yellow Lake on a log. The face is a wide, gentle face, and the eyes are large, like those of a horse. Laughs:
- Gu-u... I'm swimming... Gu-u...
Echo tumbles from rock to rock, from mountain to mountain. Streams splash silver drops on the stones:
- Ti... ti... ti...
Hello to the green god.
Tuyanchi saw him. I became even angrier.
She jumped onto the cedar. Hisses:
- I’ll eat you too!
And Kurgamysh saw her.
How to scream:
- Why are you spoiling the forest, kikimora?
And she spits. The saliva fell into the lake and floated like ice. It smelled cold.
Kurgamysh also became angry.
- I you! - shouts.
He jumped ashore and rushed to Tuyanchi.
They started to fight.
The dust comes in a black cloud; the water is boiling; the mountains are groaning. Taiga sways like a dress in the wind.
- I'll kill you! - Kurgamysh growls.
- I'll eat! - Tuyanchi hisses.
OK.
And the day. And two. And three. There is no end in sight to the battle...
Only the leaves sway, cuddle, pray:
- It would be nice if Kurgamysh won! Ah, good!
The old god-Kutai, the god of all gods, recognized him, who has a throne of pure gold in the shade of a birch with diamond leaves, and clouds at his foot, and a blue-maned horse, and a chambyr made of red garus. Said:
“You can’t make the gods angry, I’ll punish you.” Give it up.
But they don’t quit. Kurgamysh turned his face away from the fight and shouted:
“I’ll kill you and leave you.”
And again he grabbed Tuyanchi by the face.
And the old god Kutai waved his hand. Got angry.
Tuyanchi and Kurgamysh rushed in an invisible whirlwind. They spin and spin.
Wind. Cold.
Winter, you think, is coming.
When Tuyanchi turns to the earth, the hairs will fall on the forest, he sighs - it’s snowing, it’s cold.
Kurgamysh will turn around: it will thaw, the sun will come out.
And they last for so long.
And then Wunt rides - his horse is white, his saddle is made of old copper, and his horseshoes are made of Chinese gold.
Smiles.
“It will be,” he says, “we need warmth.” Go away, Tuyanchi.
Tuyanchi hides in a lair. Angry, sharpening his claws:
- Wait... - hisses.
Honey mushrooms are swimming on the Yellow Lake Kurgamysh, the green god. Laughs:
- Gu-u... I'm swimming... Gu-u...
Herbs bow to him, aromas are smoked. The leaves bring coolness. They rejoice:
- Our god is swimming...
And he has a wide face, shaggy like a cedar, turning in all directions. Laughs with joy:
- Gu-u... Gu-u...
