One day Ko Pwei Lee decided to go to another city. It was at the height of the cool season, a cold north wind was blowing, and Ko Pwei Li, as luck would have it, did not take anything warm with him. Chilled to the bone, he turned to his fellow traveler U Sei Tou with a request that he let him under his blanket. But the stingy U Sei Tou responded by rudely cursing Ko Pwei Li and flatly refused the request.
Ko Pwei Lee hated greedy people, so he decided to teach his fellow traveler a lesson. Immediately he came up with a plan. He quietly moved closer to his neighbor and wrote his name “Pwei Li” with an ink pencil on the edge of his blanket.
As we approached the city, passengers began to prepare to leave. Ko Pwei Lee folded the blanket and began stuffing it into his bag.
- What are you doing? - shouted the indignant Wu Sei Tou. - This is my blanket!
But Ko Pwei Lee didn’t listen.
“No, mine,” he answered calmly.
Time passed, and the disputants did not want to give in to each other, and they decided to go to the headman so that he could judge them.
The headman listened carefully to one and the other, and then asked:
– What evidence do each of you have that this thing belongs to him?
U Sei Tow could not prove his case in any way, but Ko Pwei Lee stated that there was a mark on the bedspread with his name.
Having made sure that Ko Pwei Li was not lying, the headman gave the blanket to him, and U Sei Tou scolded him and drove him away.
Wu Sei Tou left the headman with his head bowed. And not far from the house, Ko Pwei Lee was already waiting for him with a blanket in his hands.
“Well, my friend, I asked you to share the blanket, but you were greedy, so I taught you a lesson for that.” Well, so be it, take back your blanket,” Ko Pwei Lee said conciliatoryly and handed the blanket to U Sei Tou. However, Wu Sei Tou did not understand what his fault was.

Ko Pwei Li was upset - U Sei Tou did not benefit from the lesson, and he decided to teach the wicked a lesson again. Ko Pwei Lee went to the headman again.
“Dear headman,” said Ko Pwei Lee, “you decided that the veil belonged to me, and U Sei Tou did not obey your decision and took it away from me again.”
The headman got angry and ordered the disobedient man to be brought to him immediately.
When the unsuspecting Wu Sei Tou appeared before the headman for the second time, he attacked him with reproaches:
“Why did you steal someone else’s bedspread again?” Is my order not enough for you?
The end result was that Ko Pwei Lee again had the blanket, and U Sei Tou also had to pay a fine for disobedience.
U Sei Tou was more upset than ever; he went out into the street and saw, not far from the house, just like the first time, Ko Pwei Li waiting for him.
“Take your blanket,” said Ko Pwei Lee, deciding that he had taught U Sei Tou enough of a lesson. But he started running in panic, repeating:
