Iquaman's son - he was a very smart boy - began to imitate Zhezha and Matrinshan and amuse the guests with this.
Seeing that the child was exposing them to public ridicule, Zheju and Matrinshan were very offended and, in order to destroy him, they damaged the boy. Returning from the feast, he fell ill and died after much suffering.
Iquaman swore over his son's body to avenge him.
“I know it was Zheju and Matrinshan who killed my son.” I'll poison them!
He went into the forest and picked a lot of poisonous timbo plants there, so that revenge would be a success. Then he sent for Okuamaato and told him what he was going to do:
“I will kill Zhezha and Matrinchan in revenge for the death of my son.”
Iquaman called all the people and animals to help him, but warned that pregnant women should not dare touch poisonous plants, otherwise they would lose their strength.
And so Iquaman began to break the ligaments of timbo, and soon the poisonous juice of the plant covered the entire surface of the river where Zheju and Matrinshan lived. The poisoned fish floated up belly up.
And the people, seeing her, shouted:
- Look: the fish is dying! The fish is dying! Everyone began to collect floating fish from the surface of the water. Moreover, people chose only large fish, and birds pecked on small things.
Seeing such an abundance of food, the jaguar and jaguariha also rushed into the water. The female forgot that she was in trouble. The poisonous juice lost its potency, and the dead fish stopped floating.
Angry that he was not obeyed, Iquaman killed the jaguar and planted its eyes in the ground in the enchanted garden of his sister Onhiamuasabe. A chestnut tree grew from the jaguar's eyes, which Onhiamuasabe looked after as her most precious child.
