It's none of my business!

There lived a peasant in our village. He was such an amazing person that if you told him: a neighbor’s house is on fire, he would answer:

- What do I have to do with it? Even heaven doesn’t care about other people’s affairs! It's none of my business.

That's what they called him in the village: None of my business.

One day, It’s None of My Business bought a bag of soybeans in the city. He put it on his shoulder and carried it home... But he didn’t even notice that there was a hole in the bag. Here he comes, and the beans fall to the ground one after another. Soon a neighbor caught up with him, who was also returning from the market. He watched the beans pour out of the bag and asked It’s none of my business:

- If someone else is in trouble, should you tell him or not? “Other people’s business is no one’s business,” grumbled Not-My-Business.

The neighbor fell silent.

We walked a little further. The beans keep falling and falling. The bag is half empty. The neighbor asks again:

- Well, if you can help someone else’s misfortune, then how? - No way! - replies It’s none of my business. - What benefit does this have to you? Never get involved in other people's affairs.

We reached the village. Just then I noticed It’s None of My Business that almost all the beans had spilled out of the bag. He was very angry.

- Why didn’t you, turtle son, tell me anything? The neighbor replies: “So you, It’s None of My Business, told me yourself that it’s none of my business!”
