I have no tactics - emptiness and fullness (kyojitsu) - that’s my tactics. I have no talents - the speed of the spirit-mind (toi sokumyo) is my talent. I have no weapons—benevolence and righteousness are my weapons. I have no fortresses—an imperturbable spirit (fudoshin) is my fortress. I don’t have a sword - the dissolution of the spirit in the Void (mu-shin) - this is my sword.
