In one village, in a small hut by the road, a sick peasant lay on his bed and died. He was not old at all, but an unknown illness seized him and confined him to bed. Relatives already refused to believe in his recovery and only hoped for a peaceful death. But suddenly one day a resident of a neighboring hut remembered that not far from the village there lived an old hermit and Sufi, and that, according to rumors, he cured “incurable” diseases. He ran after the sage.
An old, but seemingly strong man in a dressing gown entered the room of the sleeping patient and began to whisper something in his ear. Soon the peasant woke up, and for some time the two of them whispered. After this, the old Sufi stood up and, without saying another word, walked out the door.
The peasant began to recover and after a few days, to the complete surprise of all the villagers, he got out of bed and was completely healthy. Since then, whenever he was asked: “What did the old sage tell you that you overcame your illness so easily?”, he always answered: “Don’t try to overcome it. Love her."
But few people understood him. They themselves never got sick. But they didn’t recover either.
