One man had a lot of peas sown. The cranes got into the habit of flying and pecking peas.

“Wait,” the man thought, “I’ll break your legs!”

I bought a bucket of wine, poured it into a trough, and mixed honey in it; He put the trough on the cart and went to the field. He arrived at his strip, put the trough with wine and honey on the ground, and he walked away and lay down to rest.

The cranes flew in, pecked at the peas, saw the wine, and got so upset that they were immediately killed. The guy is no slouch, now he comes running and lets tie their legs with ropes. He entangled him with ropes, hooked him to a cart and drove home.

On the way, the cranes were shaken, they sobered up, felt themselves, began to fap their wings, got up, flew and carried with them a man, a cart, and a horse. High! The man took a knife, cut the ropes and fell straight into the swamp.

I sat in the mud for a whole day and barely got out of there. I returned home - my wife gave birth, I had to go get the priest and baptize the child.

“No,” he says, “I won’t go for the priest!”

- Why is that so?

- I'm afraid of cranes! They will be carried across the skies again; I’ll probably fall off the cart and hurt myself to death!

- Don't be afraid! We'll tie you to the cart with a rope.

That’s good, they put him in the cart, tied him with a rope, turned the horse onto the road; They lashed her once, twice, and she trotted off. There was a well behind the village, but the horse had not been watered; She took it into her head to get a drink, she turned off the road to the side and straight to the well; and the well was without a frame, and the harness was without a harness, and the bridle was without a rein, and the collar was large and spacious; the horse leaned towards the water, and the collar went over its head and slid down. So the horse got drunk and went back, but the man and the cart remained at the well.

At that time, hunters drove the bear out of the forest; the bear rushed as fast as he could, ran at the cart, wanted to jump over, jumped - and got right into the clamp! He sees that trouble is on the horizon, and goes to wallow as hard as he can with the cart.

- Fathers, help! - the man shouts.

That scream made the bear even more frightened; I went to drag it over the hummocks, through the ravines, through the swamps. He ran to the beekeeping area, climbed a tree and pulled the cart behind him - apparently he wanted to try the honey. He climbed to the very top, but the cart pulled him down: the poor bear himself was not happy - neither back nor forward!

A little later the owner came and saw the bear.

“Yeah,” he says, “gotcha!” Look, what a slacker you are, little bear: you didn’t just come for honey, you came in a cart!

He grabbed an ax and cut down the tree to the very root. The tree fell to the ground, smashed the cart and completely crushed the man; and the bear jumped out of the collar and ran: God forbid!

That's what cranes are like!
