“I have spent my whole life searching and have never met a person with such a reputation for kindness and warmth, and such a pious appearance.
The Imam sighed bitterly and said:
- Dear friend, what a frail creature man is and what dangers he is exposed to! The same reputation and deeds that you attribute to me have been shared by some of the worst people in the world. If all people are judged only by their external qualities, then every rogue will be ranked among the saints, and every worthy person can be presented as an enemy of humanity.
