In ancient times, they say, there lived a greedy, very greedy rich man. He greatly offended his farm laborers and servants and left them hungry. He tried to hide it from people, so that no one in the ulus knew about it. But no matter how much he hid it, no matter how hard he tried, all his dirty deeds became known to the people.

One day, rumors reached the rich man that a big noyon (Noyon - prince) would come. The rich man got scared and decided to hide from the noyon how he was torturing and oppressing the workers. He sent his farm laborers far into the steppe, and dressed the patient and timid ones in some clothes and began to feed them a little better. He reduced his anger a little. His workers do not understand anything, they are very happy, they have become cheerful and talkative.

Soon an important noyon with a shiny medal on his chest, on three horses harnessed to a four-wheeled cart, with a zeon of three bells, rode up to the rich man’s yurt. The rich owner greets him with a bow, fusses around the guest, trying to please. I helped him get off the cart and put him on a stretcher. Four quick guys carried Noyon to the house. The rich man walks behind and asks:

– Are you sitting comfortably? Isn't it hard? Isn't it shaking? Noyon, who was sitting calmly and importantly, suddenly jumped up, screamed terribly and rolled off the stretcher.

- What's happened? - The rich man was frightened, almost alive with fear.

He grabbed the legs of the fallen noyon and kissed them.

And this is what happened. A little boy, who was tending the rich man’s calves, at the moment when Noyon was being carried on a stretcher, crawled up and poked him from below with a sharp stick.

They caught that nimble farm boy.

– You black evil spirits! Where did you come from and how did you create such trouble? The skin needs to be torn off your back! Such a little devil! – the rich owner shouted, gritting his teeth and grabbed the farmhand by the hair.

- Rich father! Listen to me, and then punish me!

– What you wanted to say, say it! - Noyon asks, rising from the ground.

“The one who scares Khurmasta (Khurmasta is a saint), I heard, should get rich.” Luckily for me, I saw a persimmon tree, I was very happy and scared. You, venerable, great persimmon, forgive me! - says the farmhand boy, stands, looks slyly and bows.

An important noyon with a shiny medal, when he heard that he was called a persimmon, immediately stopped being angry, sat down on the stretcher, tucked his legs under him, and said importantly:

- That's right, I am the persimmon!

And he ordered the confused rich man, who was standing right there:

“You can’t punish this boy.” Give him one felt yurt, two milk cows, three or four more sheep, a horse and let him go.

Then Noyon turned to the farm boy:

– Consider that all this was given to you by Persimmon Tengriy (Tengry is the supreme celestial being).

So the rich man had to carry out the noyon’s order.

“The scoundrel, who crawled out of a crevice in the earth, only brought harm,” he whispered to his wife, his face changed and he clicked his tongue.

After that, the rich man did not let anyone else near the noyon.
