Over time, our Schildburgers became so accustomed to buffoonery that they could not get away from it. Everything they did turned out to be stupid. Therefore, you cannot joke with buffoonery, otherwise you will remain a fool forever.
Well, two Schildburgers heard that in ancient times people exchanged various goods with each other and received great benefit from such an exchange. They thought and thought and decided to exchange houses with each other, and not just anything, but houses at once. The first Schildburger, who lived at the upper end of the street, dismantled his house and dragged it log by log to the lower end, where the one with whom he had agreed to exchange lived. And the second Schildburger, who lived at the lower end of the street, also dismantled his frame and took it to where the first Schildburger had previously lived. In a new place, each of them packed up their house, sat down to rest and thought: “What did I gain from this?”
It’s funny to you and me, but the Schildburgers weren’t laughing. How much work they put in to first dismantle their houses and then build them again! It turns out that everything was in vain!
