One day a Student came to the Teacher with a question:
- Teacher, how to win a woman?
And the Teacher led the Student to the stream, to the place where it flowed along the mountainside, and where the water cut a small channel in the stone. They came to this place and looked at the running water in silence for an hour. And this time the Teacher said nothing.
But the next day he again led the Student to this place, and again they silently looked at the streams of water flowing merrily down the stone slope. And the next day. And another day later. And so they walked for six months.
And finally, one fine day the Student exclaimed:
- Teacher, I think I understand! You have to be patient enough, and someday you will achieve your goal.
“Of course,” the Teacher said sadly. And then he smiled and added:
“But only if you don’t mind spending your whole life sharpening a mountain.”
