One day the vizier's son fell ill. It was in Bukhara. All famous doctors just shrugged their shoulders, saying:
“Your son is melting before our eyes, but we cannot understand the reason.”
The patient himself did not want to say a word. No matter how much they tried to persuade him, he remained silent, lay on the bed, did not eat or drink.
Ibn Sina was invited. The master immediately determined that the cause of the illness was that the young man was in love.
The vizier became agitated. But how do you know who this girl is? He began to beg Ibn Sina to come up with something. The master ordered to bring into the house a man who knew the streets of Bukhara well. When they brought him, Ibn Sina entered with him to the sick man and ordered him to list the names of all the streets. The Master himself kept his hand on the patient’s pulse at this time.
When the street where the girl lived was named, the lover’s heart began to beat rapidly.
All that remained was to find out her name. Then they began to list all the names of the girls living on this street, and the lover’s pulse revealed the cherished name.
Finding a girl was not difficult. She was invited into the house. She began to care for the patient, and he quickly recovered.
