One of the Path Masters was sitting at the head of the meeting when one disciple came forward and said:
- How can you compare the position of a teacher in the world? I mean, what is his connection to what's going on in the world, and how dependent is he on what's happening?
The teacher answered:
— The teacher lives in the world. He lives in it and works outside of it. The world rejects him and at the same time helps him, all because of the special nature of the Master. However, this is mentioned in the story of the Young Man Whose Secret Must Not Be Revealed
Once upon a time there lived a young man who wanted to serve humanity. Unlike many of his kind, he wanted to do this not because he was vain. This meant that his service could be accepted, and he could succeed in this matter, so necessary for humanity.
One day he had a dream, and in the dream he was warned that if he went to help someone, he would cause people more harm, as they would oppose him and become even more cruel. He was told that he must hide his desire from everyone for the time being, but he can say that he has a secret that cannot be told to anyone.
The young man began by telling his parents that he had a secret that he could not tell them, and soon they were so tired of it that when he decided to leave home to seek his fortune, no one particularly objected.
He got a job at a stable in a nearby town, and worked there successfully until the owner heard that the guy had a secret that no one should know.
- Tell me, otherwise you will be beaten!
The young man refused, and the owner beat him with a stick, and beat him until a passing merchant saved him and took him into his servant.
They traveled a lot and finally arrived in the capital. Everything was fine until the young man said that he had a secret that no one should know until the right time. The merchant, naturally, tried to find out what secret the young man was hiding, and when he failed, he threw the young man out into the street, suspecting him of madness and infidelity.
It so happened that at that time the Prime Minister of that country was passing along the street. The king was dying and, according to the custom of that country, the minister had to ride through the streets and look for a new king according to the signs that were determined by the Wise.
When he drove past a merchant's house, he saw a young man being thrown out of the house, and heard him shout: “I still won’t reveal my secret until the time comes!”
And this was the very phrase that pointed to the king. He brought the young man to the bedside of the dying king, and he asked him if he would agree to accept the Crown.
“I agree, Your Majesty,” said the young man, “since my secret is that I will not be able to help people until I become powerful like a king.”
