How the wolf was taught wisdom

A man was mowing hay. I got tired and sat down under a bush to rest. He took out his wallet and decided to have a snack. And then a wolf happened nearby. The wolf smelled food and left the forest. The wolf sees a mower sitting under a bush, eating. He approached him and asked:

- What are you eating?

- Bread.

- Is it tasty?

- Very.

-Let me try.

- Well, please'

The mower broke off a piece of bread and gave it to the wolf.

The wolf liked the bread. He says:

“I’ve never eaten such delicious bread, especially with caraway seeds.” I walked the length and breadth of Belarus without eating anything like this. You probably have something special.

“You guessed it,” said the mower, “this bread is called Minsk.”

“I wish I could eat Minsk bread every day,” the wolf sighed. - Advise, good man, where to get it.

- Welcome! - says the mower. - So be it, I’ll teach you how to get this bread. And he began to teach the wolf:

- First of all, plow the ground...

- Then there will be bread?

- How fast you are! - the mower laughed. - Wait a little longer! The land needs to be fenced...

- And can I eat bread? — the wolf hurried, wagging his tail.

- What are you doing, wait a little longer! We still need to sow rye...

- Then there will be bread? - the wolf asked again, licking his lips.

- What are you talking about! Wait until the rye sprouts, survives the winter, turns green in the spring, blooms in the summer, the ear fills - only then will it ripen...

“Oh,” the wolf sighed, “that’s a very long time... And then shall I eat plenty of bread?”

- Where can you eat already? — the man grinned. - It’s still early! The rye will ripen. You need to compress it, tie it into sheaves, put the sheaves into heaps. The breeze will blow them away, warm them with the sun... Then you can take them to the current...

- And will it be possible to eat?

- Oh, how impatient you are! The sheaves must be threshed, the grains must be poured into bags and taken to the mill, then ground...

- That's all?

- No, not yet! You need to knead the flour and wait for the dough to rise. Then make the loaves and place them in a hot oven.

- And will there be bread?

“When it’s baked, then there will be bread.” The wolf thought. He scratched the nape of his neck with his paw and said:

- No, this job is not for me. Please advise how to get bread easier.

- Well, if you don’t want to eat difficult bread, eat light... Go to the meadows. There is a horse grazing there.

A wolf came to the meadows. He saw the horse, raised the hair on his back, bared his teeth and said to him:

- A horse, a horse! I'll eat you!

“Well,” the horse answers, “eat.” Just take the horseshoes off the back legs first, otherwise you’ll break your teeth...

“Your truth,” the wolf agreed.

He bent down to pull off the horseshoes, and the horse gave him a hoof in the teeth...

The wolf somersaulted and ran... He ran to the river. He sees geese grazing on the shore. “Should I eat the geese?” - thought the wolf. He walked up to the geese and said:

- Geese, geese, I'll eat you!

“Well,” the geese cackled, “eat!” But first, do us one service before death.

- Which one!

- Sing to us, we will dance.

- Just that?! This is possible. I am a master of singing!.. The wolf sat down on a hillock, raised his head and began to howl. Meanwhile, the geese flew away. The wolf got down from the hill, watched the geese go, and without a sip, went to his den. Meanwhile, the mower finished mowing and was returning home. He walks and suddenly hears: somewhere nearby a wolf is crying and says to himself:

- Enough, I tried some light bread! It won't take long to die from it...
