I was bringing my little fox to you, but another lion met me at a large tree and took it away. -Where did he disappear to? “If you deign to get up and come with me, then I will show you where this robber is hiding.” They walked and walked, and the fox stopped by a large tree. He led the lion to a deep well hidden under the branches and said: “There’s a robber here!” Lift me up and we'll look into the well. The lion raised the fox, and they looked into the well. There, in the water, they saw their reflections. The lion was slow-witted, he thought that there really was another lion sitting in the well and holding a fox cub. He became furious, threw the fox aside, and jumped into the well. There the lion choked. So the animals got rid of the greedy lion.
