How the hen saved the cockerel

How the hen saved the cockerel
Enlight

Once upon a time there lived a hen and a rooster. The hen laid eggs, and the cockerel got grains and treated the hen. He scoops a grain out of the hole and calls the chicken;

- Co-co-co, Corydalis, I found a grain! Just once the cockerel raked out a big bob. “Well,” he thinks, “the chicken can’t swallow this grain, I’ll probably eat it myself.” I swallowed it and choked. The cockerel fell, lifted his legs and was not breathing. A chicken ran up to him:

- What's wrong with you, Petya? Why are you lying there and not breathing?

“Oh,” the cockerel groans, “he choked on his bean...

- How can I help you, Petya? - asks the chicken.

“We need,” the cockerel whispers, “to get some oil and lubricate the throat.”

- Where can I get it?

- At the cow's.

The chicken ran to the cow:

- Cow, cow, give me some butter!

- Why do you need butter?

— The cockerel is lying and not breathing: he choked on a bean.

“Okay,” says the cow, “I’ll give you some butter.” Just go to the mowers first and ask for hay. A chicken came to the mowers:

- Mowers, mowers, give me some hay!

- Why do you need hay?

- Hay for the cow. The cow will give oil. Oil for the cockerel, otherwise the cockerel lies and does not breathe; choked on his bean.

Mowers say:

- Go to the baker, ask for pies. We'll eat the pies, then we'll make some hay. The chicken came to the baker;

- Baker, baker, give me some pies!

- Why do you need pies?

— Pies for the mowers. The mowers are cutting hay. Hay for the cow. The cow will give oil. Oil for the cockerel, otherwise the cockerel is lying there and not breathing: he choked on a bean.

Baker says:

- Run into the forest, bring firewood so you have something to bake pies with.

The chicken ran into the forest and brought firewood.

The baker baked some pies.

The chicken took the pies to the mowers. The mowers ate the pies and cut hay.

The chicken brought hay to the cow.

The cow ate the hay and gave oil.

The hen brought butter to the cockerel.

The cockerel lubricated his throat with oil and swallowed the bobok.

He swallowed it and again sang cheerfully to the whole yard:

- Ku-ka-re-ku! Corydalis - well done! This is where the fairy tale ends.
