That's what they say.
One man killed an eland, took out its intestines and took them to a hare who lived with him in his hut.
Together with the hare, they went to the pond, taking with them a water root. They drank from the pond, and the hare began to wash the water root, splashing the water heavily, and then threw it - she threw it into the pond like that, and it fell into the water. Then the hare brought water and remained in the hut where the dead eland antelope lay.
Her husband came, he brought meat, and gave the intestines to the hare. She licked them, rubbed the skin with them, and her husband watched what she was doing.
- My wife, what are you doing? - he asked and ran away. And the little hare stayed at home and cried: “Tshva” tshva, tshva!”
When her husband fell asleep, she listened, took a piece of a stick and stuck it into the ground. She lay down on a stick. She cried again:
- Hush, hush, hush! Why is this pricking me?
Having said this, she died.
Her mother said:
- Pick her up! She is sleeping in the sleep of death. My daughter died a long time ago. Take it, fry it on the fire, and when you fry it, eat it!
