The fox trembled, fear gripped her, but she controlled herself and said: “Lion, run quickly, save yourself: a storm will begin soon!” “I’m very heavy,” the lion answered, “I’m not afraid of the storm.” “What are you going to do?” The wind will be very strong. - I will lie down on the ground. - This will not stop the storm from carrying you away. - I will hold on to the tree trunk. - The wind will blow for several days. You can't hold on to a tree trunk for that long.
Then the lion, seriously frightened, shouted: “If so, tell me what to do!” “Let me tie you to a tree, and the strongest wind will not be afraid of you,” suggested the insidious fox. “A wonderful idea,” the lion agreed. Having tied the lion to a tree, the fox sat down on a pebble nearby. “Why aren’t you looking for shelter yourself to escape the storm?” - the lion asked her. “Because there will be no storm,” the fox calmly answered.
The lion became terribly angry and roared loudly. Various animals immediately gathered. Seeing a lion tied to a tree and a fox calmly sitting next to him, they were surprised and asked what this meant. “I tied him,” the fox explained, “in revenge for the fact that he deprived me of dinner yesterday.” This should serve as a lesson to all of you.
