There lived an old man and an old woman. They had two sons. The eldest son is Notan, the youngest is Evyan. One of the sons once says:
- Let's go to the deer.
Let's go. Suddenly they saw a large, spacious house. Junior says:
- Let's go in and warm up. The older boy says:
- I won't go. I won't go in. Come in yourself. The older boy left, and the younger one entered the house. He sees only kale (devils): they jump, make noise and beat tambourines. The boy almost ran away from fear. They detained him and told their women:
- Feed him better.
They began to feed the boy. It turns out that the Kale are giving him human meat. Refused to eat. Says:
- I’ll go home. They tell him kele:
- Better sleep here.
The boy lay down. Suddenly the kale began to sharpen their knives. And they say: “When will we start eating this man?” And their old woman says:
- Probably this evening. Suddenly the boy jumped up and said:
- Well, I'll hit the tambourine for now. They gave him a tambourine. He began to beat the tambourine and said:
“Now you’ll start cutting me with big knives.” He stopped beating the tambourine and ran out into the street. Kale began to pursue him. And the boy ran up to the stone on which the bones were being broken and said:
- Come on, stone, fall right on these devils. And the stone fell. Killed one kale. And the boy ran away. He came running home, his older brother was happy. And the kale grabbed their murdered relative, jumped around, and sang:
- That’s good, we killed the little man, let’s eat him! Ooo! They started cooking kale. They began to eat. Suddenly their old woman says:
- Maybe it was the thumb of our kale’s hand that I took out of the stew?
And they began to cry. Then one kale said:
“Come on, let’s go, let’s really kill Evyan.” We went to the kale. The bear dogs were tied up. The kale began to approach, and the man said:
- How will you cross? Look, there's a lot of water here. We looked at the kele, and it turns out that Evyan is located on the other side of the river. Shouts:
– You can’t take me! Here, hold the lasso!
The kele grabbed the lasso, and Evyan pulled the lasso. Evyan dragged them to the middle of the river and threw the belt. And all the kale drowned.
