How did man appear

One day Nuiva sat down on the shore of a pond, having nothing better to do, took a handful of yellow clay in her hands, moistened it and, looking at her reflection in the water, sculpted a figurine. As soon as Nuiva put the figurine on the ground, it suddenly came to life, screamed “wa-wa” and jumped joyfully. The world was filled with noise and boredom disappeared. Nuiva named the new creature ren - man. She really liked the creation of her hands, which was different from animals and birds, fish and insects. And the cheerful goddess continued her work. She sculpted many people of both sexes. Naked men, surrounding Nuiva, danced and shouted joyfully, and then, alone and in groups, scattered in different directions. And she continued to work without rest, because she wanted to populate the whole earth with these intelligent little creatures.

Nuiva worked for a very long time and eventually got tired. And there were still many places on earth where the ren had not settled. Then Nüva spread it in the water

there was a lot of yellow clay at once, I tore off a long vine, dipped it in the clay, then took it out and shook it vigorously. And wherever pieces and even droplets of clay fell, shouting “wa-wa” and joyfully jumping men appeared. And soon traces of people appeared everywhere on the earth.

But people grew up, grew old and died. It was very tedious to create them again every time. Nuiva thought: how can we make the human race continue on its own? She united men and women into families and began to give them children. This is how the human race continued.

Thanks to the work and care of Nuwa, there were a lot of people in China, more than in any other country in the world.

Nüwa liked such an abundance of ren, whom she considered her children. And people built altars in her honor in the most beautiful places: in sunny clearings in the forest, on the shores of quiet lakes, near picturesque rocks. Rich sacrifices were brought to her: pigs, bulls and rams. Nuiva, happy and contented, lived for many years in complete serenity.
