He turned to his daughter Ba, who lived as a hermit in heaven because she was very ugly and had a large bald spot on her head instead of hair. But there was so much heat in it that where it appeared, the metal melted. The daughter immediately rushed to the aid of the divine father. The clouds, along with the rain, turned into steam and flew into the sky, followed by the wind. From the heat emitted by Ba, the brothers' copper heads became so hot that the last thought that lived there disappeared. They began to die one after another. The Yinglong Dragon roared terribly and rushed forward, crushing the evil spirits.
Ba was so tired that she no longer had the strength to go up to heaven. She remained on the ground. But where Ba settled, there was drought for thousands of miles around. People called her Han-ba, the demon of drought, and came up with all sorts of ways to get rid of her. She had to wander around the world, hated by everyone...
Huang Di made an unusually large drum from the skin of a wild animal, whose name was Kui. He jumped on his only leg on land and sea and spoke humanly. But we needed sticks. Huang Di remembered the thunder god Leishen. When this monster with the body of a dragon and the head of a man was amusing himself by slapping his stomach with his paws, thunder was heard in the sky. Huang Di killed the thunder god, took out the largest bone from him and turned it into a drumstick.
When Huang Di hit the drum with a bone, thunder spread over five hundred miles around. He struck nine more times. The mountains began to hum, the color of the earth and sky changed. Huang Di's warriors perked up, and the enemies were scared to death. Chiyu himself forgot how to walk and fly out of fear. In the last battle, the army of the yellow lord surrounded the surviving Chiyu brothers. They all died, and Chiyu himself was captured. The evil spirit, the embodiment of ten thousand evils, was executed.
After the victory, Huang Di went to his palaces and gardens on Kunlun and composed there a “Drum Melody in Ten Parts” in honor of the past war. This warlike music was performed during feasts; warlike songs were sung and danced to the accompaniment of drumming.
