Heavenly Fruit

Heavenly Fruit

Once upon a time there was a woman. She heard about the heavenly fruit and desired it.

She asked a certain dervish, let's call him Sabur:

- How can I find this fruit in order to achieve direct knowledge?

“The best advice for you would be this: learn from me,” said the dervish. “Otherwise, you will have to wander the world with all your determination, at times without any rest.”

She left him and found another, Arif the wise, and then found Hakim the sage, then Majud the mad, then Alim the scientist and many, many others...

She spent thirty years searching until she finally came to the garden. There stood the Tree of Heaven, and on its branch hung a bright Heavenly Fruit.

Sabur, the first dervish, stood near the Tree.

“Why didn’t you tell me when we first met that you were the Guardian of the Heavenly Fruit?” - she asked him.

“But then you wouldn’t believe me.” Moreover, a tree bears Fruit only once every thirty years and thirty days.
