He led them to a huge door lock.
- This is the largest castle in my kingdom. Which one of you can open it? - asked the king.
Some immediately refused. Others, revered by the people as sages, looked at the lock with an important look for a long time, but then admitted that they did not know how to open it. After that, everyone else said that the task was beyond their capabilities.
Only one young man approached the lock, carefully examined it, then tried to move it and, finally, jerked it down. Lo and behold, the lock opened! It just wasn't latched!
Then the king announced:
“You will receive an important position at court because you rely on your own strength and are not afraid to try.”
