Hands of God

I don’t know which abbey, along the old, dusty road, the monks, accustomed to holding their saddles, were hurrying somewhere. One of them is clearly a Mentor, the second is a gifted novice, who listened to the biblical secrets and did not waste his time. The teacher led the way, not wasting hours in vain: “Believe in God! The great ruler loves us and trusts us in everything! Are we walking along the razor’s edge, fallen at the edge of the abyss, In struggles, on vacation, in battles, He protects His children!” The night was approaching, it was quickly getting dark, and the travelers set up camp. The Mentor, through sleep and fatigue, asked: “Are the horses tied?” The novice grunted something in response: “He must be testing me!” The Lord shepherds them! I won't get used to it! Let them walk without a leash!” The next morning, seeing that the horses had disappeared with the dawn in the east, he raised his palms to the heavens and reproached the teacher! “Oh, how you convinced me! Believe in the Holy Flame! And the horses ran away into the forest, He apparently slept with us!” “He does not sleep, neither during the day nor at midnight,” the Mentor calmly answered, “The Lord came to our aid, but he didn’t notice to tie his hands!” “He is nearby, in the soul, if we let him in, then deeds are noble, There is no place for despondency and sadness, and hands are like the hands of the Lord!” Yu.
