Deciding that it would not be at all difficult to become sinless again by evening, he began to zealously fast in the morning. But he endured this test only until noon. Exhausted from hunger and thirst, he spread the tablecloth in front of him and greedily began to devour the food.
The preacher and friends who were watching Mushfiqi approached him with reproaches. But Mushfiqi was not at a loss:
“If in one hot and long summer day of fasting the sins of a whole year are forgiven, then it is clear that in half a day the sins of half a year will be forgiven me.” And I will certainly always have time to get myself a release in the second six months. In addition, with this method, I will always save myself six months for an easy and carefree life!
