One day the guru was sitting in meditation on the bank of a river. A student approached him and laid two huge pearls at his feet as a sign of love and respect.
The Guru opened his eyes and picked up one of the pearls so carelessly that it fell out of his hand, rolled along the shore and fell into the water.
The shocked student dove after her. He dived until evening, but was unable to find the pearls. Finally, exhausted and wet, he interrupted the teacher’s meditation:
“You saw where she fell.” Show me the place and I'll get it for you.
Then the guru picked up another pearl, threw it into the water and said:
- Over there!
